The next guest of our Jazzelünk series is one of the most exciting experimental acts of the new generation: Shakar Trio.

Formed in April 2022, the band brings together three young musicians from Budapest: Marci Székely (drums), Milán Papp (guitar), and Bálint Lendvai (keyboards). Their sound is deeply rooted in the contemporary Hungarian jazz scene while drawing inspiration from beyond its borders. You can hear the fluidity of Scandinavian jazz alongside the dance-driven energy of Balkan music woven into their compositions.

Shakar Trio's ambition is simple yet bold: to create music that evokes a universal sense of catharsis and leaves every listener moved in one way or another.
