Erol Leen and Blue Sun invite you to an evening by the Danube to celebrate the release of Erol’s new Balearic EP on the label. Join us for sea-soaked musical vibes, chilled drinks, and a gentle breeze drifting in from the water. Those arriving at the right time will be rewarded with one of Budapest’s most beautiful sunsets as the sun disappears behind the Buda hills. From there, the evening will slowly unfold into the night — moving from laid-back listening to dancing under the open sky.

About the EP:

As summer unfolds, Erol Leen's Dream Wash drifts into the sun-soaked world of the Balearic tradition. The four-track EP channels the spirit of pioneers such as José Padilla and DJ Alfredo, and could easily find its place alongside the cult Café del Mar compilations of the CD era. Released via Budapest-based label Blue Sun, Dream Wash is a heartfelt tribute to this enduring musical ethos.

Recorded around a beachside fire pit in Turkey, Dream Wash draws deep inspiration from the Mediterranean. Sun-drenched and seawater-soaked emotions emerge through lush pads, soft rhythms, nature recordings, and a gently immersive atmosphere. Minimal synth spirals and bubbling electronic textures intertwine with birdsong and the sound of waves, taking the listener on a semi-imaginary voyage along the coast.

About Erol:

Erol Leen has grown up in Istanbul surrounded by sheets of classical music, jazz, and ragtime lying around. After moving to Amsterdam, his attention shifted toward traditional Turkish music - leading him on a journey with an old oud from his grandmother’s attic. His productions are greatly inspired by the Dutch ambient and jazz scene, with an emphasis on experimental club influenced releases from Music From Memory and Melody As Truth, Kuniyuki Takahashi, Greg Foat. Last year also saw the release of the debut album by his Anatolian psychedelic electronic duo, Oh Voyage, a project that has taken him to stages across Europe through an intensive touring schedule over the past few years.
